How Far Will I Go?

From the Finger Lakes to the Land of a Thousand Hills, the journey I am about to take with my amazing village is coming. After months of preparation, it's finally here. Don't quote me on this, but I believe that I am the first of my family to go to Africa. It's a huge responsibility, but I know that I am not alone. I will have my village with me as well as the beautiful sunsets I am about to witness from the African sky. I think that is what binds my lake house to Africa.  It's the gorgeous sunsets and the amazing community that watches them.  Music and dance will make me feel at home as well. For how I am feeling now, I think about the song from Moana How Far I'll Go. I love my hometown, my family, my boyfriend, and my life. However, I have a fire in my soul to make a difference and see the world. I want to grow and have a new perspective on life. Moana had that feeling as well. It calls me and if I go, there's no telling how far I'll go.
